Wooden Boats

Wooden Boat and Music Festival

Birk's Harbour at Goolwa on the banks of the Murray brings to mind those eternal words from an age-old classic. "There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."

Next weekend it's on again, The South Australian Wooden Boat and Music Festival at the River Port of Goolwa. This year the locals celebrate their tenth festival - a lasting love affair with wooden wonders.

In a first for the festival the local Ngarrindjeri people will be running a traditional raft building workshop.

It's all part of the Wooden Boat and Music Festival at the historic Goolwa Wharf. The site will open at 12 Noon on Saturday and close at 6pm on Monday. If you have any further questions please email info@postcards-sa.com.au
