The Chateau
Yaldara Wines and its magnificent Chateau have long been recognised as one of the most picturesque and attractive wine tourist destinations in Australia. Nestled in a private valley, surrounded by picture postcard vineyards, the Chateau sits proudly, perched on a hill overlooking the North Para River.

Now home to the Barossa Valley's most elegant and refined cellar door and wine sales area, and with over 30 wines available for tasting, visitors are able to try and purchase from a comprehensive selection of award-winning wines, including our stunning Julians Port, which was awarded the best port in South Australia at the prestigious South Australian wine of the year awards held at Hyatt in 2003. Tours of the winery leave from the cellar door twice a day 10.15am & 1.30pm ($6.50p/p). The Cafe
Nestled in the shade of the Chateau is Café Y. Having undergone total refurbishment, the café is now a spacious and contemporary facility, with large windows allowing the visitor to enjoy views over the river or the Chateau. Chef, Kas Martin and her team, prepare innovative regional cuisine, utilising the very best seasonal produce available. Visitors can enjoy great coffee with freshly baked cakes, tarts and slices, or perhaps an indulgent 3-course meal, with a glass of wine from the extensive list. The Café is open 7 days a week, and can be booked for private evening functions for groups of 25 or more.

The Larder
Adjacent to the café is the larder and produce store, where there is a huge range of olive oils, sauces, preserves, fudge, dukkah , verjus and other locally produced gourmet gifts, some of which are available for tasting. There is also an interesting selection of wine and food associated gifts to be found here. The larder is a perfect place to buy a special memento or gift from the Barossa.

The Cheese Room
Here the visitor will find an extensive range of locally produced South Australian cheeses, including an amazing wine washed rind cheese produced at Ballycroft, Greenock, gorgeous goat cheeses from Woodside Cheesewrights, and creamy brie and camembert from Kangaroo Island. There is also a special pate here - produced in the café's kitchen, and flavoured with a 15 year old Yaldara Port.

Spend the day relaxing over a long, lazy lunch and a bottle of the Barossa's finest, or call in for some cheese, pate, pickles and a bottle of wine and enjoy a special picnic on the banks of the ornamental lake here at Yaldara. Either way, these incredible facilities, coupled with Yaldara's commitment to provide the visitor with exceptional professional and knowledgeable service, places Yaldara firmly at the top of everyones' 'must see' list.
