Wolf Blass: At Nurioopta in the Barossa Valley region of South Australia
Take a leisurely drive for an hour from Adelaide along the Sturt Highway and only 5kms north of Nuriootpa and you'll discover one of Australia's most awarded wineries.
The Wolf Blass Winery and Visitor Centre at the northern end of the Barossa Valley is one of Australia’s great success stories. Wolf Blass is the only winemaker to ever have been awarded Australia’s most prestigious wine trophy - the Jimmy Watson - a record 4 times.
From a humble tin shed in 1966, the Wolf Blass winery is now home to a state-of-the-art winemaking facility and world-class visitor centre. The Wolf Blass winery offers visitors to the site a unique winery experience.
The ‘Tasting Room’ provides guests with an opportunity to try a selection of Wolf Blass’ award winning wines, and browse through the extensive range of merchandise, gifts and limited release wines available for purchase. Our Visitor Centre staff will explain the wide range of tasting options available to ensure your visit to Wolf Blass is rewarding, informative and memorable. The Cellar Room allows guests to enjoy a range of more intimate and informative tastings of some of the finest wines produced by Wolf Blass including the iconic Black Label and limited Platinum Label. Appointments can be made in advance by contacting the winery, or upon arrival.
The Wolf Blass Experience Room portrays the story behind of one of Australia’s truly great winemakers, profiling the outstanding contribution made by Wolf Blass to the incredible success of Australian wine around the world. Visit the Barrel Room to learn about the use of oak in the making of some of Australia’s best wines, and view our Cask Hall where some of Australia’s finest red wines mature gracefully before release.
The Wolf Blass Visitor Centre is open every day, except Christmas Day, from 9.15am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, and from 10.00am to 5.00pm Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. The Centre is also available for private functions - please contact our Visitor Centre Manager.
