Torrens River Bridges Tour
Earlier this year Postcards took to the Torrens in search of the stories behind some of our most notable bridges. And next week you can do the same on an Engineering Heritage Tour of this well known waterway on board the Popeye. The Institution of Engineers is conducting a guided tour next Sunday to observe and discuss items of significance on, over and close to the River Torrens. For a swanís eye view of our engineering heritage set to the music of Percy Grainger, the son of John Grainger the man who designed the Albert Bridge, contact the Institution on (08) 8267 1783. The Tour costs $15 and leaves from the Elder Park landing at 2pm.
