Russet Ridge Winery Russet Ridge - The mark of a great Coonawarra wine

Orlando Wines has a new showcase in the Limestone Coast region with the successful opening of the Russet Ridge Winery and Cellar Door in January 2002. The cellar door is offering a range of wines from the Padthaway and Coonawarra regions, with a strong focus on premium wines.

The winery is prominently located 10kms south of Naracoorte, on a ridge that runs adjacent to the Riddoch Highway and the cellar door offers panoramic views of vineyards and plains. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the landscape while enjoying tastings, wine by the glass or light refreshments such as a vineyard platter.

There is also the opportunity to tour the winery facility, currently the only winery in the region to offer such tours which give visitors a chance to learn about the winemaking process from the vine to the glass. . Highlights for visitors include a walk through a planting of 100 year old vines and viewing a state of the art winery and barrel shed. Tours run at Noon and 2:30pm on weekends and public holidays.
