Mill Street Studio: Lisa explores Clare in the Mid North region of South Australia
Mill Street Studio is in a backstreet in Clare. It's also where we found Julianne Pulford preparing for an exhibition entitled Text - Tures, her exploration of the written word, shapes and the feel of things.
Julianne calls herself a semi 'abstractionist'. Shapes and colour surround her. Either the contours of the vineyards, which envelop the town in which she lives, or the geometric shapes inspired by her husband's architectural work. In Gregory Pulford's studio, Julianne's work is never far away. But it's not all abstract. Cold midnorth mornings, in which sheep shelter in the fog have also provided her with plenty of inspiration.
