The camera is an invention we take for granted. Moments in people's lives are snap frozen in time. Sadly though, many personal and family shots end up collecting dust in a shoebox in a bottom draw.

It's a pity, because lives and memories are worth celebrating and in this digital age you can do it in style. We popped along to Memory Safe on Unley Road armed with our personal collections of old and embarrassing photos.

Memory Safe's Andy Scott thumbs though our happy snaps with us. He usually asks clients to bring between 100 and 400 photos taken from key phases in people's lives.

It's a strange experience laying your life out on the table like this but also a lot of fun. With our lives laid bare we leave Andy to make sense of it all.

A week later we return to see the end product - a DVD containing images of important milestones like birthdays, family reunions, weddings and holidays.
