Goolwa Blitz Buggy Flight: Chad Cornes & Andrew McLeod indulge a need for speed in the Fleurieu Peninsula region of South Australia

Nigel Dunn is an adrenalin junkie. As operator of Warbird Adventures he regularly indulges his need for speed over the Murray Mouth and the Coorong. Hop on board his Chinese built Nanchang Fighter Trainer aircraft and you get to see this part of the Fleurieu Peninsula from an entirely new perspective... and one that's not for the faint-hearted.

Nigel's been operating out of the Goolwa Airstrip for several years now but sometimes conditions aren't suitable so he started to think about some land-based flying. That's when he came up with the idea of a custom built Mako Buggy - just the thing for some serious off-road racing.

"It's a Mako buggy frame with a lot of modifications," said Nigel. "It's specifically built for off road racing which is a bit of a cross between motocross and rallies. On the rear suspension we've got a triple row of shocks and double coil overs. That gives us about eighteen inches of wheel travel."

Nigel has dubbed it his Blitz Buggy and with four-speed V8 power, she's a hybrid beauty. As part of the experience, you get your own optional in-cabin video, which records all the action from different angles.

The Blitz Buggy track is adjacent to the Goolwa Airstrip. To book you're session of hi-octane fun contact Nigel Dunn on 8555 4075. If you have any further question please email info@postcards-sa.com.au
