Capriccio Italian Restaurant was established in 1980 in its current location at 10 Sussex Street, Glenelg. Since then it ahs become an institution of authentic find dining Italian Cruisine. The proprietors, Francesco and Esterina Scuteri have successfully owned and operated the restaurant for the past 14 years, creating a legacy for their children, who will become the third generation of restaurateurs.

One can say that Capriccio’s menu tantalises the taste buds by offering an array of regional dishes originating from all over the Italian peninsula. The menu offers world class quality and flavours fit for a king. It reveals many choices, ranging from traditional antipasto, soups, fresh oysters and seafood, home made pasta dishes, scaloppine (veal), steaks, risotto and much more including home made desserts and gelato.

The moment one walks into Capriccio they can instantly feel the warm ambience of the Mediterranean. The fine dining experience is characterised by friendly and professional table service, the staff being attentive to your every need. They’re happy to answer any questions regarding the daily specials, the extensive list of fine Australian wines, superb reserve list and of course menu.

Capriccio’s décor boasts simplicity and elegance, a reflection of the family’s artistic background. The atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful, one can really feel at home. The restaurant has a fully licensed bar and is ideal for functions of every nature, comfortably seating up to 75 people.
